This workshop is designed for Professionals currently working or desiring to work in the field of Family and Domestic Violence. It focuses on the therapeutic system, examining in particular issues of transference, counter-transference, resistance and collusion in terms of family violence cases. Discussions will centre around case scenarios, and practice issues will be explored.

What will I learn?

This workshop will assist participants to deal with practice issues, particularly:

• Resistance
• Collusion with clients
• Transference and Counter-transference.
• In relation to family violence cases

About the Presenter:

Vanda Francké is a Social worker with extensive experience in the area of Family and Domestic Violence Services. She has been involved in the initial development of counselling services for victims of violence; developing strategies for early intervention into family and domestic violence, training for community services within this framework; working with perpetrators of family and domestic violence. Vanda is currently the Coordinator of Family and Domestic services at KinWay
