Step Families

This course uncovers the complexities of step families. Common difficulties and possible solutions will be explored, along with strategies to enhance your relationship with your partner and children. Learn
new skills to make your step family a good place for everyone.

AT the completion of the Step Families course participants will have:

•  Explored the concept of a healthy family.
•  The values adults want to teach children.
•  Explored and discussed developing strong relationships in the new family, while maintaining  other relationships: children, extended family, and friends.
•  Explored and discussed how each adult can relate to and connect each child in the family.
•  Explored adult agreement regarding parenting.
•  Learnt the family stages and identify and know their family stage.
•  Know and apply skills for managing stress, change and conflict.
