Rebuilding Your Life after Separation or Divorce

The ending of a love relationship is fraught with emotional turmoil and feelings of self-doubt. The adjustment to establishing a new life is helped through gaining understanding of self and the grieving process; by learning strategies for expressing anger constructively and for building feelings of self worth; and by creating direction for how we want to rebuild our lives.

At the completion of the Rebuilding your Life Course participants will have:

• Recognized the effects that stress has on them.
• Identified common adaptive/survivor behaviours.
• Identified the losses s they have sustained and the necessity to grieve those losses.
• Planned strategies for handling anger effectively.
• Planned strategies for building feelings of self worth.
• Identified ‘protective' masks and the need for openness in close relationships.
• Discussed how to build healthy relationships and express sexuality.
