Consisting of two modules, this program is designed to introduce and familiarize participants with a broad approach to the process of Family Dispute Resolution.

In Module 1 participants will learn about an approach to family dispute resolution that invites disputants to explore their parenting roles in depth while working on a redefinition of their parenting partnership. The module begins with a review of the problem-solving approach to mediation before introducing other ways of working in a narrative and transformative way. It concludes with a consideration of ways in which participants can integrate these approaches in a new and comprehensive approach that accounts for disputing parents' emotional states and their desire to provide the best for their children following separation.

Module 2 builds on the approach to consider specific issues including the Parenting Alliance Session, the inclusion of children in the work and an introduction to approaches to mediating financial matters.
